Meeting chaired by the Director General of ROSATOM A.E. Likhachev with the heads of organizations of the Association of the Construction Complex of the Nuclear Industry

On September 2, 2019, a meeting was chaired by the Director General of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom A.E. Likhachev with the heads of organizations that are part of the Association of the Construction Complex of the Nuclear Industry.

During the meeting, the key problems that faced the organization of the construction complex of the nuclear industry were examined, and ways to solve them were proposed.

The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by A.E. Likhachev, Director General of the Rosatom State Corporation, reporting on the importance of holding such meetings with representatives of the Rosatom State Corporation and ACCNI.

The Director General of the Association Sergey Malinin made the report on the results of the activities of ACCNI in 2019. The report noted that the activities of the Association are aimed at developing and solving the problems of the construction complex of the nuclear industry, as well as effective participation in organizing and conducting specialized international seminars.

The heads of organizations included in ACCNI continued the meeting with reports-proposals:

Elkuja Kokosadze, Director General of JSC Orgenergostroy Institute, presented a report on “Forming Alliances consisting from Competent Organizations of the Nuclear Industry Construction Complex”. At the meeting, a number of measures were proposed to implement the portfolio of projects for building nuclear power plants abroad on time.

The proposal for the formation of a joint venture to carry out geo-and hydromechanical work at the facilities of Rosatom State Corporation was made by the Director General of Fensma LLC Sergey Dyachkov. As a result of this it was decided to formulate and forward proposals on the interaction of choosing the optimal technology for strengthening soils and devices of the air curtain at stages of research and design.

Sergey Sitnikov, Technical Director of STS LLC, spoke about the need for timely and high-quality development of mandatory technological rules for the construction of nuclear power plants. He noted that the lack of an updated MTRB leads to poor quality planning for the construction of nuclear power plants. The availability in the MTRB scope of information on the “real”, potentially achievable deadlines for the implementation of the main types of work, critical path indicators, and the need for resource support for the NPP construction project will make it possible to:

-increase the quality and development of project conditions in the pre-contract phase, which in turn minimizes the possible financial and reputational risks of Rosatom State Corporation;

-to provide a unified approach to work planning; -to ensure the timely start of work of the preparatory and main period with a high organizational and technical level.

A list of instructions, covering the whole range of voiced issues, was formed following the meeting.
