Representatives of ACCNI, representatives of Rosatom and KEPCO Engineering exchanged experience in the field of cost engineering and project management

 

Representatives of Association of organizations of the construction complex of the Nuclear Industry, representatives of State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom" and the Korean company KEPCO Engineering & Construction exchanged experience in the field of the monetary engineering, the programed management of investment and construction projects, and also discussed prospective lines of cooperation.

During the three-day visit, the industry-specific construction cost and timing management system "TCM NC" was presented to Korean delegates. Foreign experts had the opportunity to become familiar with the technical characteristics of the program, the features of its application, and also asked questions of interest to them.

The event became a platform for discussing potential areas of cooperation between Russian and Korean specialists in the field of digital technology development in the nuclear industry.

Sergey M. Malinin, Executive Director of ACCNI, spoke about the wide possibilities of existing "Rosatom" developments. “State corporations have something to offer their Korean colleagues. We have impressive experience in decommissioning reactors and power units”, a representative of the organization shared.

“Our experts have developed a number of technologies that may be of interest to the Korean side. This is, for example, the circuit cleaning system, irradiated graphite handling, systems that work with manipulators, as well as a method for cleaning liquid radioactive waste ”, said the Executive Director of ACCNI.

He emphasized that the parties could cooperate on the creation of technology for the fragmentation of reactors internals.

Sergey M. Malinin also suggested that one of the prospective lines of cooperation is the creation of a Russian-Korean expert community in the field of nuclear energy.

Representatives of KEPCO, in turn, introduced to their Russian colleagues the Korean system SAREX. The meeting was attended by leading experts from industry companies included in the Rosatom management contour. The parties were able to exchange valuable experience, the latest developments, as well as to discuss the prospects for joint cooperation.
