Start of the annual professional skills contest in the nuclear industry construction complex

The 7th Professional Skill Contest “The Best in Profession in the Construction Complex of the Nuclear Industry-2019”, which annually becomes the center of attraction for the best representatives of workers and engineering professions in the nuclear construction complex, a real labor holiday, a platform for communication, training and exchange of experience, was started in Rosatom. The event was organized by the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and the Rosatom Center of expertise for major construction projects (OCKS) with the support of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation , the Government of the Krasnodar Territory and the Russian Builders Union of (RBU). The general partners of the Contest traditionally have become JSC Rosenergoatom and JSC "EC ASE".

Currently, the filing of applications has begun. Participants are undergoing registration and the qualification stage on the information and educational portal of the Rosatom OCKS (http://attestacia-rosatom.websoft.ru).

To participate in the qualification stage of the Contest are allowed all organizations, conducting capital construction of nuclear energy facilities (NEF) and carrying out types of work corresponding to the approved list of nominations, irrespective of industry affiliation. In total, more than 1000 people will take part in the qualification round. Further, the preliminary stage, in which the participants of the final competitions will be determined, will be held from May 16 to May 31, 2019. This year the final of the Contest will be held on August 6-8 in Krasnodar.

The number of nominations in the Contest 2019 has been significantly increased compared with the previous year - up to 21. Contestants will compete in two multi-team nominations at once, including engineering and technical specialties: "The Best Site for the Construction of the Nuclear Power Plant" and "The Best Team for Information Modeling and Design". In the team-individual standings, the specialists in pricing and estimate standardization, specialists in construction control, labor protection, surveyors, designers, specialists in the field of non-destructive testing methods, BIM-technologies and project management will compete for the title of the best. In the framework of the Contest workers will be represented by welders, fitters, concrete workers, instrumentation and automation technicians, erectors of process pipelines and electrical equipment. In the final competitions, for each participant is foreseen a test of theoretical knowledge, professional skills and execution of practical task using high-tech equipment. More than 100 expert judges will evaluate the work of specialists on the sites.

As part of the final of the Contest, it is also planned to organize a business program and exhibition exposition, during which companies will have the opportunity to demonstrate their best projects and practices in order to establish cooperation and effective development. The winners will be awarded on August 9 at the festive event dedicated to the Day of the builder of the nuclear industry.
